getting started
-
Youth ages 16–19 from low-income backgrounds who are passionate about hip-hop and music creation. We're looking for artists who are hungry to grow and ready to put in the work.
-
No. All programs are free for participants. Youth in the Summer Intensive also receive a $750 stipend, meals, and help with transportation. We handle the barriers so you can focus on the growth.
-
Nope. You don't need studio experience or formal training—just real passion and willingness to show up and grow. We meet you where you are and help you get where you want to go.
-
Absolutely. The Residency is open to vocalists, producers, songwriters, and other creatives. There are two main tracks: Vocal and Production. Hip-hop is bigger than just one element, and so are we.

The Summer Intensive focuses on one track to give you deep, focused development. But alumni can explore other elements through our year-round workshops and collaborate across disciplines in studio sessions.
-
Once you complete a program, you're part of our community for life. Alumni get access to ongoing workshops, studio time, scholarships, performance opportunities, and mentorship. This isn't a program you graduate from—it's a family you grow with.

Culture & Community
-
Not even close. This is serious, long-term, intentional development. We use hip-hop because it's where our youth already are—it's where the truth lives. The elements carry tools for survival, expression, healing, and building futures. We're not here to manage youth; we're here to invest in them.
-
Yes. MCing, DJing, breaking, graffiti, knowledge—we honor the full culture. Our programs integrate cultural education with creative and professional development because you can't separate the art from its roots.
-
We're built by and for the culture. Our mentors are working artists who've walked your path. We don't water down hip-hop or use it as a gimmick—we live it. And we focus on building careers and leaders, not just putting on shows.
