Ivanna Garza
Ivanna Garza is a distinguished alumna of The Residency, having first auditioned at the age of 13 during its pilot year. She returned the next four years before pursuing higher education at Washington State University where she earned five degrees in different areas of Business and Anthropology. Throughout her academic journey and beyond, Ivanna has remained deeply connected to The Residency, being a two-time scholarship recipient, intern, participant in fly-away opportunities, volunteering, and through involvement of key initiatives such as bringing Macklemore to WSU for a performance, serving on hiring committees, speaking in panels, and now on the Board of Directors. Outside of the Residency, Ivanna is committed to being a change maker and is involved with social justice and educational efforts locally, organizing community events, protests, and showing up when needed.
Having grown alongside The Residency, Ivanna is now developing the Youth Leadership Council. She is driven by a personal commitment to supporting Seattle's artistic youth, fostering their growth, and providing them with the opportunities they need to become the creative leaders of tomorrow.
